Vietnam is the world's second largest coffee producer in overall and the largest producer of Robusta beans which accounts for over 40% of global robusta output. The main area of production is Central Highlands (Cao Nguyên) with over 95% of Robusta.
Central Highlands (Cao Nguyen) with Dak Lak Province being the heart of production is responsible for high yield robusta production, whereas other areas (Lam Dong, Son La and Dien Bien) focus more on high-end coffee productions - Arabica varieties: Hybrid Arabica, Moka, Yellow Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Typica, THA, Starmaya, Marselesa etc.
Harvest season in Vietnam: October to April with peak falling from November to February.
